Plans and Patterns:

We have chosen a few plans and patterns, that we are providing to the public for personal use.

They are for a one time use only and are not to be copied or reproduced in any way.  Our goal is to allow the hobbyist woodworker to make some of the fine pieces in our collection from the comfort of their shops.

The plans we provide are precise and accurate, however there may be occasions where you may have a question, or run into an error in the drawings, please contact us and we’ll work it out.  Remember some of these plans are from dates as early as 1927, they were not intended for hobbyist woodworkers.  Please double check your work as you go and remember to use “story sticks” when needed.  If you aren’t pleased with your purchase we will refund your money.

On this site, you will find a brief description of each piece that is available from our woodworking shop.  Sizes and important notations have been included to assist in selection.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you desire further information.

Due to shop size and limited workforce along with our aim for perfection, our pieces take a great deal of time to complete.  There are many variables that can effect a delivery date of which we are not responsible.

Our pieces can normally be delivered in 4-8 months, sometimes quicker, depending on the size of order and our work load at the time of your order.  However, we will not guarantee an exact delivery date.

We require full payment, including a 50% non-refundable deposit on all orders.

You will receive an acknowledgement of your order.  If you find an error or wish to make a change, please notify us within 10 days.

If delivery is to be made by our truck, the delivery charges will be stated on the acknowledgement of the order.  Delivery service includes setting in place whatever is ordered.

If an order is to be shipped, there will be a crating charge of 5% of the net price of the furniture, before cash discounts, and the shipment will be made FREIGHT COLLECT.  The minimum charge for crating is $50.00.  We reserve the right to ship items as ready.

Please remember that the carrier, not Virginia Craftsmen, is responsible for the shipment.  The delivering carrier is not responsible for un-crating and putting into place whatever is ordered.  Orders that are picked up at our workshop are charged the Virginia sales tax.

Our prices are based on standard pieces and standard finish.  There will be an additional charge on all non-standard pieces and or finish.  Changes in design will be an additional charge of $50.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum.

Wood varies in color, board to board and often within the same board.  This can cause variation in the finish color, which will become less apparent with age.
